I arrive at your home with your outdoor space in mind. We walk the property and discuss the entire space to be improved. Ideas will be put down on paper in the form of notes and sketches. Measurements will be taken when needed. In addition to new planting options, we will troubleshoot specific plant problems, design challenges, existing landscape flaws and how to remedy the current landscape. When needed an onsite Conceptual Design will be drawn or taken to the studio for further detail. If you have a plot plan of the property, as well as any pictures or other ideas, it is highly recommended that they be made available at the time of the consultation. Another option to the Consultation is that we can spend part of the time visiting a nursery. There we create a list of plant suggestions in relation to your yards needs. This leads to the opportunity to purchase plants and my “to the trade discount will be forwarded to you, as my client”. This arrangement is available at Nursery’s I have a rapport with and I must be present.

STUDIO DESIGN // $75.00 PER/HR.

This follows a consultation upon the request and agreement between designer and client. The vision and desired style of the yard, patio, or outdoor area will be conceptualized on paper. Architectural drafted drawings, to scale with sizes and measurements, will then be presented to the client. Pictures, tear sheets from magazines, or sketches, color swatches and any other significant sample of an element pertaining to the project will be presented as well. This process is not finite, yet it provides an elaborate plate of information for the overall process. With these drawings an experienced landscape contractor will be able to understand the concept and have a clear direction of where the job needs to go. Further details and working details should be discussed by the homeowner/contractor prior to the construction process.

PERSONAL SHOPPING & PLACEMENT // $50.00 PER/HR.

This option may be a continuation of the initial consultation. If your yard needs and upgrade in the softscape area, this is a great option. We will go to an appropriate nursery to select and buy plants, pottery, garden accessories, or other garden features. A scheduled excursion to an appropriate nursery will be made. If the area of concern is too large to evaluate on site, studio design time may be recommend and required in order to organize and plan the shopping. NOTE: If all merchandise is paid for by the client at the completion of the shopping excursion, any available designer discount will apply. Alternatively, if Gleesod is to make the purchase(s), all merchandise will be charged at wholesale priced with a 30% commission fee.At the end of shopping, you may choose to continue the experience at the projects site where the delivered merchandise will be artistically and appropriately spaced for a set daily rate. This is best utilized by coordinating install at the same time.

ARCHITECTURAL PLANS PACKAGE // STARTING FROM $2,000.00

This is a complete package; from the consultation, to site analysis, to concepts, to selection of materials and plants, to scaled drawings of the entire project. (Excludes “Personal Shopping and Placement.”) This is a very involved assignment. Communication is a key element between designer and homeowner(s). Elements such as, but not limited to; concrete, stone, colors, patio covers, pergolas, fireplaces, fire pits, outdoor kitchens, islands, retaining walls, built in seating, pools, spas, custom water features, are addressed in the plans. Other issues addressed in the plan are drainage and lighting and pottery placement. First and foremost the importance of this plan is to bring the ultimate desire, style, and way of outdoor life of the homeowner to reality. The plans are tailored to be approved by the homeowners association and to meet city codes. It is the homeowner and contractor’s responsibility to discuss the issue of city permits. In most cases the plan has two pages, one dedicated to hardscape, and one to softscape. If, at the completion of the Consultation, you decide to go this route then the $325.00 fee is applied towards the design. After we meet and all information is gathered an estimate will be made for the Cost of the Plans. All Yards are different, big and small, simple and ornate; the fee is tailored to the amount of design time that will be put into the project. An estimate will be email to you.
